Hello, I’m Zoë, a qualified teacher, department head, and language enthusiast. I’ve taught French and Spanish in primary and secondary schools for over 18 years and continue to love what I do. Now, I offer French and Spanish lessons, face to face and online, covering all levels from KS1, KS2, GCSE and A-Level up to Adult lessons. There’s nothing quite like that lightbulb moment when a tricky language concept finally clicks, and it’s a privilege to watch that happen in my students as I guide them through their language journey. I cannot wait to teach you too!

Languages are more than words! They open doors to opportunities, confidence, and cultural connections, whether you are discovering languages for the first time at school or learning as an adult.
I am passionate about helping children and young people develop their skills in French and Spanish, giving them a valuable edge for university and future careers, and building their confidence to pass exams from GCSE to A-Levels. I recognise the lesson environment can sometimes overwhelm students, so my patient and home tutoring approach to teach French and Spanish is designed to bring out the best in your child.
With 18 years of teaching experience and my role as Head of Department, I have seen first-hand how the right approach can transform a student’s learning journey. My lessons are engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student, ensuring that even the trickiest grammar rules become second nature in a fun and accessible way.
There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing that ‘lightbulb moment’ when everything clicks for a student. I understand that languages can sometimes feel overwhelming, which is why I take great care to break down barriers and build confidence step by step with patience and care.
If the past few years have taught us anything, it’s the value of personalised learning. Whether in-person or over Zoom, I provide the individual attention that’s often hard to achieve in a busy classroom, helping students reach their full potential while genuinely enjoying the process.

What I offer
Young Language Learners
This is where the fun begins. My focus is on speaking, with a small introduction into writing, and always with enjoyment in mind. My students learn French and Spanish with engaging activities to spark a passion from EYFS onwards. We play games, sing songs, and learn through French and Spanish themed activities. GCSE & A Levels
In larger classrooms, it’s easy for students to feel overlooked or too anxious to practise speaking with confidence. I offer one-to-one French and Spanish tutoring for GCSE and A-Level students who need a calmer, more supportive space to grow. My lessons are designed to build trust, encourage practice without fear of judgement, and strengthen the skills needed for exam success. Every student deserves the chance to feel heard, valued, and fully prepared, and that’s exactly what I provide.
Adult Lesson
It’s never too late to discover the joy of learning a new language. I offer one-to-one French and Spanish lessons for adults who want to build practical, conversational skills for holidays, travel, or simply the love of learning. Whether you’re dreaming of ordering coffee in Paris or striking up a conversation in Madrid, I’ll guide you with patience and encouragement every step of the way. Learning a new language strengthens the mind, builds confidence, and opens doors to new experiences. It’s a journey you’ll never regret starting.
